Dr. Tushar Jadhav
Dr. Tushar Jhadav is a senior consultant in Surgical Oncology, affiliated with many renowned hospitals and institutions all across Mumbai Metropolitan region. He is one of the founders and directors of Mumbai Breast Care (Olive Cancer Care Centre) and Universal Oncocare. He has been practicing in Mumbai since more than a decade. His main focus is Head, Neck Cancer, Oncoreconstructive Surgery.
He has completed his super specialty in Surgical Oncology accredited by the National Board of Examinations (NBE, New Delhi). He has been trained at the Regional Cancer Centre in Kolkata after his Master’s In General Surgery from Mumbai University. He has completed his postdoctoral fellowship in Breast surgery from Tata Memorial hospital, Mumbai.
He has pursued his M.CH – breast oncoplasty from University of East Anglia, UK and has been trained for oncoplastic reconstruction at various renowned institutes like Guy’s Hospital (London, UK) and MHDCC (Dusseldorf, Germany).
He has also acquired advanced skills in Breast oncoplasty and Image Guided Breast Surgery at various courses organized by European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) all across Europe like France, Spain, Italy and Germany. He has received training for implant-based breast reconstruction and microvascular flap surgery at Singapore.
He was awarded the European Board of Surgery Qualification (EBSQ) in Breast Surgery for excellence in Breast Surgery and Oncoplasty in September 2018 at Lile, France.
He is a global fellow of the International Federation of Head Neck Oncologic Societies (IFHNOS). He has been trained for Laser surgeries, endocrine surgery and base skull surgeries.
He is an academician and has been published on several occasions nationally and and internationally. He holds teaching academic positions at the MGM Hospital and Research Centre, New Mumbai and the Prince Ali Khan Hospital and Research Centre, Byculla Mumbai.
He is a part of pioneering projects such as Autologous breast implant with regenerated fat cells and Artificial Intelligence assisted real time access of flap vascularity in collaboration with IIT, Mumbai. He has been the principal investigator for a few Phase II and III clinical trials.
In his decade long career as a surgical oncologist, he has treated successfully a vast number of breast and Head Neck cancer patients with various oncoplastic reconstructions. He specializes in Reduction onco mammoplasty, Delayed whole breast reconstruction, minimally invasive approaches of breast surgery and reconstruction like Transumbilical Breast Augmentation (TUBA), minimal Invasive Flap harvest, Ductoscopy and endoscopic excisions, vacuum Assisted Biopsies (VAB), Minimal invasive robot assisted mastectomy, prophylactic breast surgery with whole breast reconstruction, minimally invasive head neck cancer surgery – like robot assisted thyroidectomy, laser surgery in oral and laryngeal cancers, voice preserving laryngectomy and base skull surgery.
He is known among his peers and colleagues for his expert surgical talent and attention to detail with regard to his patients. He is well received among his patients for his compassion, clinical acumen, successful operative results and postoperative care.
